LASER FAQS
For the removal of tattoos or pigmented lesions, Pico-laser SPT fragments the pigment particles, triggering the process of phagocytosis and their subsequent elimination through the lymphatic system.
Pico-laser SPT is the latest innovation on the market for the removal of tattoos and pigmented lesions. The SPT Pico-Laser is able to remove pigmented lesions and tattoos while protecting the skin, without injury or side effects, leaving the skin clean and even. The treatment can be applied to remove tattoos and pigmented lesions of various shades, from dark colours, such as black or blue, to lighter colours, such as red, orange or purple.
In short, our pico-laser can remove a tattoo completely in fewer sessions, faster, with minimal damage to the skin and at a much more affordable price than traditional machines.
The number of sessions required for complete removal varies depending on the pigment, the procedure or technique used, the characteristics of the patient, the condition of the skin, etc.
Our new pico-second technology allows tattoo removal treatment to be reduced by up to 70%, saving time and money compared to traditional tattoo removal treatments.
After the session, we will have to carry out a correct healing of the treated area for 7 to 15 days, but don’t worry, at TNT TATTOO MARBELLA we will give you all this information, and our qualified professionals will accompany you throughout the process (before, during and after each session) to carry out an exhaustive and personalised follow-up of the entire treatment, adapting the treatment to the individual characteristics of each person at all times.
This treatment can be applied for the removal of pigmented skin lesions, as well as moles and spots of different types.
The tattoo removal treatment and the actual process of tattoo removal are completely different treatments and therefore hardly comparable.
Our pico-second technology removal treatment is able to capture and focus more than 70% of the energy that the laser emits and greatly shorten treatment times, as well as being faster and safer. Its photothermal effect does not affect the skin superficially, but is very effective in its target.
Therefore, we can conclude that the pico-second laser treatment, by drastically reducing both the time it takes and the number of sessions required, only produces discomfort that is completely bearable for a few minutes or seconds, depending on the extent of the tattoo you want to remove.
It does not damage the normal tissue and at the same time it perfects the blemishes. Through the healing mechanism of the skin, new collagen and elastic fibres are produced in the dermis, aiding in cell regeneration. Furthermore, this type of laser with picosecond technology, due to the type of fractionation it performs on pigments instantaneously, drastically reduces the healing time.
It is completely safe, can work on practically all skin types and has no contraindications, but if any doubts arise you will have our professionals to advise and help you throughout the procedure.
The average healing and recovery time of the skin is 6-8 weeks. Once this time has passed, you should visit our studio so that our team can assess the state of the skin and determine whether it is possible to carry out a new laser session or, on the contrary, it is advisable to wait, thus optimising the results.
FAQS PIERCINGS
No, the first thing to bear in mind is that neither of them has a sterile area suitable for drilling and, in most cases, they do not have the training or the appropriate materials to carry out this practice.
Many people think that the fact that it is a pharmacy is safer, but it is most likely that the person performing the technique is not a professional in this field.
On the other hand, in both sites they pierce with a piercing gun instead of a catheter, which, as we have already explained, is not at all advisable.
One of the great current myths is the Daith or, as it is popularly and erroneously known, the migraine piercing.
This social media fad suggests an improvement in migraine, but it is not something that has been scientifically proven, in fact, professional acupuncturists do not recognise this area as a treatment to reduce or remove migraines.
Yes, in fact, it does require daily healing to keep it clean and free of germs that can cause infection.
You can find more information in our healing section.
No matter what area of the body, any professional piercer you go to, will not work with a piercing gun.
Its use has been banned for more than a decade for various reasons:
- Piercing requires training, sterile equipment and appropriate equipment for use.
- A gun does not pierce the skin cleanly, cracking it in the process and contaminating the area, as well as using the same earring to press the skin until it breaks, as it does not have a tip designed for that purpose.
- It does not allow space between the skin and the earring because of the tightness it creates, which is not ideal for good healing.
- It cannot be sterilised, which makes it a breeding ground for bacteria and a source of infection.
In Spain the age of majority is 18, so any person under this age is required to come accompanied by a legal guardian to our studio to sign an authorisation provided by the same establishment, the ID of both and the presence of the same during the whole process.
For the safety of the baby and by law, as with any minimal intervention on a woman’s body, under no circumstances can you get a piercing during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Like all intervention services towards the human body or artistic works, there are different levels of professionalism in the services, quality of the tools and materials used in their work.
It should also be taken into account that the price includes the professional’s training that guarantees their work (years of experience, artistic and health seminars, artistic ability, etc.).
It is always recommended to look for references, images of work carried out and to visit the facilities in advance to ensure that they transmit security and confidence and that they meet the requirements.
FAQS TATTOO
Social media has made it very fashionable to get finger tattoos and, no matter how nice it looks in the photo with a fresh tattoo on the first day, there are certain details that affect the long term that you should take into account before making this decision.
The area of the fingers has a harder, thinner, drier and rougher skin than other areas of the body, which means that the dermis (the second layer of skin) does not maintain the pigments in an optimal way, which is why, after it has been done, it may become lighter in some parts and, with the passage of time, you may have to retouch it.
We recommend simple designs/symbols, without too many small details, as they will no longer be visible after a few months.
The same applies to areas such as elbows, knees, heels, etc. and especially the palms of the feet and hands.
The tattoo requires at least 2 weeks of healing and hygiene. Washing the tattoo can be done in the shower without any problems, as long as it is not done for too long or with water that is too hot.
What should not be done under any circumstances is to get into sea water or swimming pool water.
For more information see our healing section.
In the same way that it is difficult for a tailor to give a price without having the client in front of him, it is the same with tattoos, as it is a handmade work, individual and made to measure for each person, as there are many factors to take into account.
It is always better to make an appointment in advance for a free consultation to discuss all the details of ideas, size, location, different options, etc.

Just as you don’t go to your cousin’s house to have a tooth pulled because he is interested in dentistry and sees it as easy, or you don’t go to your neighbour’s house to have your dog operated on because he has always liked animals, it is not recommended that you get a tattoo at someone’s house just because they have a machine and have seen some tutorial videos on the internet.
A private tattoo parlour has no sanitary controls and can easily become a source of infection.
Unlike a tattoo studio open to the public, it has very strict sanitary controls of the installations and materials, as well as controlling that the tattooists have the corresponding European qualification certified by the Ministry of Health.
Someone who tattoos at home is not registered and does not contribute to the social security system, unlike a professional who pays the corresponding taxes.
The results of homemade tattoos, in addition to endangering your health, usually have a disastrous result in their finishes. As we know from experience, we fixed and covered many non-professional tattoos to people who were unaware of the permanent consequences that it would have on their skin.
Copying singers, athletes, influencers, etc. is not usually a good idea, just because a person is famous doesn’t mean they have good taste or are original with their tattoos.
We also do not recommend tattoos that are in fashion at the time (usually encouraged by social media), as fashions fade after a short time, but the ink stays on the skin forever.
A tattoo should be a piece of art on your skin that has an important meaning for you and/or that you can identify with your lifestyle, always trying to make it as individual and exclusive as possible.
As hygiene is paramount in our studio, please come freshly showered, in clean and comfortable clothes, and don’t be too fussy about it either (bear in mind that there is always a small chance of getting ink stains).
It is recommended to come rested, having had a good breakfast and/or meal, no hangover, no cold or similar symptoms.
It is strictly forbidden to come having consumed drugs or alcohol.
Sometimes it can also be exciting for friends or family to watch the tattooing process, but even so, don’t bring more than one companion, as the tattooist needs to be focused on the work, and you avoid cluttering the waiting room.
Please do not bring small children.
If you want to watch movies, social media or listen to music on your mobile phone, no problem! As long as you wear a headset.
Food and beverages of any kind are prohibited inside the tattoo/piercing parlour.
Don’t be late for your appointment, but don’t be too early either because the tattooist will probably be busy with the previous client or preparing the work for your appointment.
A cover-up/arrangement is always relative, as it depends on the size, location, shade, depth of pigmentation, etc.
The best option is always the tattooist sees you in the studio and look together at the options that would be feasible. If the situation is very complicated you will be recommended to have a few laser removal sessions beforehand to at least lighten the area and make it easier for the new tattoo to cover the old one.
The timing of the appointment varies according to the complexity of the design to be prepared and the demand for tattoos at the time (which is often influenced by the season of the year at the time).
The waiting list can vary from 1 week to 2 months.
The best option is always to consult directly with the studio.
If you want to do a spontaneous tattoo without an appointment, however small and simple it may be, we can’t guarantee that we have space for the same day, but you can still drop by and check if there is any space left.
Covering or camouflaging a scar or skin blemish depends on the type of scar (burn, surgical operation, stretch marks, …) as well as its depth and the length of time it has been there.
In general, yes, it is possible, but it is necessary to be assessed in person by the professional.
No matter how small and simple a tattoo is, it always includes at least one tattoo:
Personal advice, a design, the use of an approved sanitary room together with its professional furniture (stretchers, work table, …).
In addition to disposable and sterile materials, as a minimum:
One or more tracings, tracing gel, a field, one or more ink cups, thinner, depressant, vaseline, razor blade, alcohol, needle cartridge or needle stick and grip, protective covers for machine, stretcher cover, special soap spray, cleaning paper, several gloves, apron, cushion cover, lots of protective film to cover everything, etc.
Not forgetting the professional tattooist, his machine, his artistic and sanitary knowledge and his experience.
Also, like any shop open to the public, it has to cover a lot of expenses such as rent, electricity, water, taxes, waste management, and a lot of “etc.”.
In Spain the age of majority is 18, so any person under this age is required to come accompanied by a legal guardian to our studio to sign an authorisation provided by the same establishment, the ID of both and the presence of the same during the whole process.
We also have the right to refuse if we feel that the idea that the child wants to get a tattoo is not appropriate or well thought out for a person of that age.
For the safety of the baby and by law, as with any minimal intervention on a woman’s body, under no circumstances can you get a tattoo during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Of course you can, however, be aware that it is most probable that the tattoo will outlast your partner.
When applying the tattoo, the needle goes through the epidermis (first layer of skin) injecting the ink into the dermis (second layer of skin), throughout the healing process, the white blood cells absorb the pigments of the ink remaining stagnant in that layer of skin, making the applied colour permanent.
The worst enemy of the tattoo, as with any element that has a colour applied with pigments, is the sun and UV rays, as they cause the colour to lose its intensity and/or become lighter, which is why we recommend the use of sun protection cream (at least in the area of the tattoo) when the tattoo is exposed to the sun, even years after the tattoo has been done, so that the tone of the tattoo remains in the best conditions for as long as possible.
